The participants got skilled via several case studies and hands-on examples, but also with basic theories. The lecturers developed their own business opportunities in the fields of export to Europe, import from Europe and on the local level.
The workshop is part of the « Applied Entrepreneurship Education Programme » (AEEP), which is conducted by the University of Neu-Ulm, Germany. Aim of the project is that the participants later on, in Ethiopia, teach their master-students of Electrical Engineering how to develop sustainable micro-businesses by themselves and to set them up.
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is the sponsor of this project, which is carried out from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The workshop took part from the 31st of March – 3rd of April, in the headquarters of XCOM Africa, located in Willich, Germany.
